Prof. DSc. Eng. Architect, Head of Institute of Design and Theory of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology, (full) professor from 2014, V-ce President and General Designer in the author’s architectural studio Kuryłowicz & Associates, President of the Board of Stefan Kuryłowicz Foundation.
Winner of a SARP (Association of the Architects of the Republic of Poland) Bene Merentibus 2015 medal and a golden badge SARP 2017. SARP judge, juror in domestic and international architectural competitions, Head of the SARP Competition Judges Coordination Team between 2015 and 2019. Expert in Architects’ Council of Europe ACE for universal designing in the years 2005-2008. Consultant of the University of Warsaw for the universal designing between 1996 and 2012. Co-author (together with Stefan Kuryłowicz) of a book entitled „Passion and Pragmatism, Men, Architecture, Freedom” 2010 and many more other publications in newspapers, magazines and conference materials at which she participated as a speaker or a panellist.
A reviewer of PhD and postdoctoral theses at Faculties of Architecture at Universities of Technology in Gdańsk, Kraków, Gliwice, Wrocław and Warsaw. A supervisor of over 120 M.Eng and 50 B.Eng theses and the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology, 10 of which have won national and university awards.
A member of the Architecture and Urbanistic Committee at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
In a run by her architectural studio Kuryłowicz & Associates the following projects have been completed: a residential estate Ludna-Wilanowska with a service pavilion (2017), The Tides Building(2017), Q 22 skyscraper in Warsaw (2016), office building Silesia Star (Katowice, 2016), National Music Forum in Wrocław (2015), Warmińska Gallery in Olsztyn (2014), city stadium in Białystok (2014), residential complex and an office building Powiśle Park (2013), Town hall Wilanów (2014), Museum of the History of the Polish Jews (general designer: Rainer Mahlamaki, 2013), New Plac Unii in Warsaw (2013), the building of linguistic faculties of the University of Warsaw at Dobra street (I stage completed in 2012, II stage currently designed 2018), airport terminal in Modlin (2012, II stage under construction) and many more.
