Jürg Burri

Swiss Embassy in Poland

The Ambassador of Switzerland, Jürg Burri, has been a Diplomat for 22 years. He was born 1965 in Switzerland and spent his childhood Saturdays visiting construction sites with his Dad, an Architect. After studies, he became a journalist for political affairs, but wrote about architecture and travel as a hobby. After becoming a Diplomat, he mostly worked in cities with quickly growing skyscrapers, e.g. New York, Beijing, Warsaw. He likes to spend his Sundays in nature and drive into the city (listening to loud music) when the evening light reflects on the towers. He’s been the Swiss Ambassador to Poland since Summer 2018.
